I'm thinking about trying to walk around the coast of Seil Island in a day, probably next summer.
Has anyone done it? Does anyone know how far it is? Is there a route?
Anyone else interested?

Thanks David. It sounds like a challenge but hopefully do-able. Might not be possible along all of the coastline but perhaps most of it.
I'll be mulling over the idea, over winter.

It's an interesting idea. I know between Ellenabeich and Sloc an t Siomain it needs a low tide at one wee point. Beyond that there are two places you'll need to rock climb or swim, but it's certainly possible but probably needs two people for safety.

Bit dodgy, rock climbing naked - I'd rather have shoes on!

Okay, plans are afoot! And if Seil is successful we can look at doing the Luing Circular too. I've done most of that coastline, but has anyone done Cuan to Ardinamar?

You might have to avoid Cuan, unless there are attractive ladies going that can distract the wrath from the private landowners!

Do you mean that we can't walk through the caravan park and along the beach on that stretch?

Cuan and Seaview are the places to watch out for! The flag man'll shoot anyone who's not wearing a Tam O shanter!

Well, I'm not averse to wearing a hat - or bullet proof vest if needs be.

Can we not have some interesting and serious discussion without the "dim-wits" ruining the thread.........

Um... was it the sarong theme you want to go back to SS?
