Just a reminder that if anything about this site - its very existence, the fact that it is me that runs it, the prevalence of views contrary to your own that make your blood boil etc etc - is annoying you beyond all endurance then all you have to do is not point your browser here.

That's right, no-one is forcing you to read it. If the existence of an obscure forum in a backwater of the internet that you don't ever need to look at if you don't want to upsets you so much then the remedy is clear.

All the controversial non-local political stuff is kept in the wholly separate independence debate forum, so be especially careful not to click on that if you fear there may be views expressed there that alarm or upset you. If you do enter the arena please be aware that a certain standard of debate is expected. Responses should be rational and should address the arguments put forward by the person you are responding to.

So, if you want to raise or discuss local issues in a moderated forum and are honest enough to put your real name to those views then this is the place for you. New registrations are open, but some people have not been receiving activation emails so if you sign up and don't get an activation email please let me know. I will in any event check the new signups periodically and approve any obviously genuine ones.

If you had a previous identity on the board and you want to change your user name then please let me know. My email address is not hard to find if you don't already have it. If you want to sign up under your real name without revealing your previous identity then remember you will need to use a different email address.
