Re: back the windfarms
If people want to support the windfarm then of course they can do so by writing a letter of support to the council and/or indicate your support on the Community Council questionnaire or via the 'YesToWind' website. Have you put in a letter to A&B Council?solesurvivor wrote:lets rally round and show this community we are happy to do our part and not leave it for others elsewhere

Perhaps you could raise the tone of your posts a little by telling us why you are in favour of the windfarm, rather than merely 'slagging off' those who do not want the windfarm here. PACT - or anyone else - have every right to protest the windfarm, and have managed to do so in a generally courteous, non-abusive and apparently effective manner. You could perhaps aim equally high.
Why exactly do you think the community should welcome the windfarm? Give us your views, and don't abuse the poor smilies so much. Strangely enough it was a previous poster who also used the flag of St George as his avatar who was the reason for me restricting everyone to five smilies per post.

Re: back the windfarms
why should we ignore the windfarm
lets face it if it was going to be a power station you would have a case
but they are everywhere in uk so why not here in clachan. i dont think they blot landscapes. kill bats, kill birds, kill everything some presume,
the few minority just dont want it here in case the price of property or land suffers
they make very good walks round them. they support community funds and they will possibly get us a new bridge at kilninver
people need to look outside the box sometimes
IT IS VERY NIMBY INDEED SAYS MR ABE LINCOLN I AGREE
i have shown my support to argyll and bute council like many others

Re: back the windfarms
Nothing wrong with being a NIMBY. At least it shows you care about something without it necessarily being selfish. Far better that people stand up for what they believe in and be counted rather than simply accept what will be.

Re: back the windfarms
That's exactly what the wind farm is.........a 'power station'. You can have power stations in less environmentally sensitive areas in a similar way to ensuring factories go on industrial estates.
