Sewage scheme poll result

Post by NickB »

.
This poll has been running for three weeks now, much of the work is finished, many of the contractors have already left and the rate of voting has dropped almost to zero so I have closed this poll.

It appears that just over half of us are still optimistic that things will return to normal in short order, with 45% of us concerned about the state the place is going to be left in.

The question asked was:

Choose the option that best describes your current feelings about the sewage project

Options and results were:

I am happy that I am well represented, that BB's intentions are good and that every effort will be made to put things back the way they were 54% [31]

I am worried about the state the place is going to be left in but do not feel I can do anything about it and don't really want to get involved. 12% [7]

I am concerned and unhappy with the way things have gone/seem to be going and have written to or contacted at least one of the bodies involved 33% [19]

I think it might be interesting to re-run this with similar questions in a couple of months, when the final state of play will become a little more obvious.

Thank you to everyone who participated.

I agree, lets run it when the last contractor has left the island and Scottish Water announce that they have signed off the works.
I confidently predict that the majority in the "happy camp" will increase massively. I base this prediction on the reassurances you gave us, Nick MacB, many months ago when you told us that you navvied on some pipieline in the east many years ago which was on a much larger scale than our little project and within a couple of years you couldn't tell the work had been through there it was so completely restored. That put my mind at rest and I remain confident that you are correct.
