.
I have tidied up the home page of the site and added the current Winter ferry timetables.
I also realised that on some screen resolutions people wouldn't even realise there was a business directory if they didn't scroll down, so it's a bit further up the screen now. I'm sure some people think this site is just the forum and the CC minutes, but it is also a very useful local directory which is bringing business into the area.
How do I know it works? Check out these Google search results:
seil island - 1st
seil - 1st
seil island accommodation - 1st and 2nd
seil island cottage - 1st
seil self catering - 1st
seil business - 1st
seil accommodation - 2nd
seil bed and breakfast - 2nd
seil island self catering - 2nd and 3rd
balvicar self catering - 1st
ellenabeich self catering - 1st
easdale accommodation - 1st
easdale self catering - 1st
easdale island business - 2nd
luing self catering - 3rd
luing accommodation - 4th
Listing in the directory is free, so if you have a local business with a website which is not listed then please let us know.

Nick - I appreciate the chat forums (fora??) as an observer, but don't participate because of the fearsome handbagging brigade (my problem, not yours, and obviously not theirs, because they seem to revel in it!).
But ... please please PLEASE could it stop snowing now!!! It's very pretty and festive, and I know we had a massive hailstorm last week, but trying to disentangle complex arguments about global warming when the words are continually obscured by floating precipitations is more than my feeble little dark star of a brain can cope with. Please ???
Maybe we could have daffodils or something?
