Moonraker, what are your policies?

Post by NickB »

The Community Council has seven elected members and elections are held every four years by postal ballot. As far as I know anyone is eligible to stand with the usual caveats re. criminal convictions etc.

It would probably be a good thing if there was some young blood on the Community Council, but most 'yoof' can't be bothered - it is a lot of work after all, and it is a lot easier to content themselves with making provocative comments on internet forums.

Emphatically no . . .

While the current discrimination which prevents pinnipeds taking a full part in local decision making is reprehensible, the idea of the members of this forum being jointly responsible for any kind of policy is frankly scary.

As this forum is considerably less representative that the CC, I vote we leave things as they are. Apart from anything else, none of us were voted onto this forum - it is a (slightly) benevolent dictatorship. If people feel strongly that Nick should be given supreme executive power they should bring it up at the next CC meeting, or possibly magically insert some kind of edged weapon into a slab of slate for Nick to extract. I think that's how it works.

the chiefs on the CC should be shakin up and made to read the forum.. after all we all stay here and use the forum to air our thoughts.. as there is a lot of good issues .. but we have to get rid of the sponge munchers and the yes ,no,people..

:D - it's quite laughable that Usmell has, once again, lost the whole plot. No "yes/no" people then ?
No decision-making then ?
You should be a real politician !!

What does it matter if 2 members of the cc contribute to the forum? QED I say to you..at least on here you can come along and have a say. The cc's only good for pontificating about caffeine based drinks and sugary treats
