According to the Seileachan news sheet, the Community Council has asked the council for priority signs at Clachan Bridge. No mention of traffic lights - but how daft and dangerous would it be to have priority signs?! If you can't see what's comin' up the other side, you can't give it priority! Meanwhile some eejits will take the black arrow as a sign of right of way. Crunch. Surely our CC reps can do better than this?!
The simplest answer is merely to cut down the weeds which restrict the view to the other side - it is getting a bit more difficult to see what is approaching at the moment.
Total respect for all vicking company here present but I'm afraid your history is all wrong. Not all the islands were held by the Scandanavians, there was fierce battle and blood shed on both sides but nobody won, Scottish or Scandanavian. The MacDonalds may be lords of the isles but not all of the isles and what was the nationality on the other side of the river?
If you're going to argue/debate, please get your facts straight...
You are to being misinformed I am thinking- We left for the fjords after the battle of Largs - Nardini ice creams cost too much of our norse kroner anyhows!
You are to be tellin us history boy which islles we missed, ya?
We are soon maybe to be returning in our wellboats
Vi setter kursen mot øya Seil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everybody, my name's Billy. I have recently visited your lovely island on holiday, it was great. I was a little worried about crossing the bridge, in case I hit an oncoming vehicle, so I was very happy to hear from the locals in the pub that there are going to be traffic lights shortly.
Don't worry Billy, you can come back safely this year. New traffic lights are working fine.
Would this not lead to more accidents........being that the lights arn't vissible either side of the bridge......but 10 out of 10 for artistry and a good joke none the less...
It is easy to see if there is traffic the other side - slow down - watch carefully - then proceed smartish over the bridge. The only problem is if you go really slow.
Maybe if we knocked the old girl down we could apply for grant money from europe and be like Easdale. Seventh could stop his/ her dubious golf course dealings and go into the ferry business and SS could find something else to complain about...
Smelly, when you learn to spell properly then you can attempt to bully other members of this forum - until then, use a spell-check or remain quiet and learn from your betters!!
