Did anything come of the petition for a mobile phone signal for Seil ..... it was a good effort even if it didn't work.
Even more important in my view would be superfast broadband for Seil .... anyone out there aware of any discussions on when Seil might get superfast broadband ?
any one got any ideas what can be done to influence getting it quicker ?

Slightly different matter. Is anyone finding that SeilChat pages are really slow to open up compared to other sites you might browse?

Re: superfast broadband for Seil
According to this map http://www.digitalscotland.org/media/16 ... -10-25.pdf Seil is due to get fibre-optic broadband at the back end of this year. I would be pleasantly surprised if it happens that quickly. The BT site is rather more cagey, merely telling us we will get it "in the future". Which is probably sooner than "never".
To PP, currently Seil Chat is loading pretty quickly for me. Sometimes it's slow, sometimes not, but I find the same true particularly of most forum sites, maybe it's something to do with their software but I know as much about that as I do about sovereign debt markets.

Might have been the way the javascript for the countdown widget was called.
Is it any better now?

Some techi feedback sought from our resident experts
Am I right in saying that whilst we might see a significant improvement in broadband speeds it is unlikely to match the kind of speeds that are being mentioned for urban areas ?
Is it really going to be super fast ? !!
