Replacement ferries
Anyone read the Oban Times this week 'bout the Luing ferry.
Get the calculator out and figure out how much you and I are paying for the replacement service!
Isn't it strange that you never see invitations to tender advertised for this 'golden goose'

There is more to life than simply increasing its speed
Harbour Seil - I don't want to sound too petty, but it bewilders me that you should start a new "subject" title when one already exists!!(Luing Ferry)
I know you can be quite a cantankerous chap from what I have read from you on this forum, but it is also worthy of note, from what you said latterly, that you are a proud tax-payer; something that should be applauded!
Where would the rest of us be without the army of folks who actually go out and earn, in order to pay tax that it then distributed to the needy in our communities?
3 cheers for the whiskery mammal!

And as for you English Local - there is no such thing as an English Local - white settler may be more appropriate - you are welcome here however, just watch the bitchiness!!!!
As for the 'digging for slate' shame we don't still do it - maybe some of the roofs down south would stay on if we did.
I'll huff and puff and blow your house down.
Quo Vadis
