Bridge that Gap?????

Scuse me but I seem to have just woken up to the fact there seem to be two bridges connecting Seil to the mainland.
Where have I been all these years?
Having just got around to reading the most worthy publication, the Seilachan, I read that not only are we considering a launching pad for sea kayakers on the mainland side of the 'Atlantic Bridge', but then in the next sentence I read saftey issues have been highlighted regarding coaches using the passing place by the 'Clachan Bridge'.
Now I know and love the Clachan Bridge, even attended a birhtday party in her honour many moons ago and traverse over her on a regular basis, admire and love the purple flower every year that appears in spring, and marvel at the barn owl that stands in one of the bowl holes on the sides of her graceful arch in the early hours of the morning, but please......can anyone tell me where oh where is this Atlantic Bridge?
Is she a grand old lady, clad in slate coloured stone, does she indeed span the ocean like the origional Clachan Bridge? Do wild, purple flowers adorn her sides in the spring and does she have her own barn owl.? Can anyone please tell me so I can go and see what I have been missing all these years.

It really grates when I see and hear reference to Clachan Bridge as that ridiculous alternative. The disgaceful tourist sign at the B844/A816 does not help.

I too share the birthday party, flowers, barn owls memories etc. I know one should not resond to wind ups but this really annoys a lot of people and not only 'locals' - lets not go down that path again - I'm a mere incomer myself!

But the ridiculous name is a feature of the bridge that helps attract tourists and their money to Seil. The coach drivers have to have a story to tell as they drive down the island. They are in the entertainment buiness too, and fiction based on fact, at least has some credibility, and it is fun. What would Loch Ness be without an imaginery monster?
