Re: Scotland swings decisively behind the SNP and independen
Your use of abbreviations and obscure references may be music to the club, but to outsiders (and I hope there are others beside myself) it does nothing further for the debate if we haven't a clue what you are on about MSM - Mainstream Scottish Media MNM - Mainstream National Media..... both terms u...

Re: Scotland swings decisively behind the SNP and independen
Usually the advent of name calling is a sign that the recipient is perceived as a threat and must be ridiculed at all costs to defuse their ability, and a sign of insecurity on the part of the name caller. I think 'Project Fear' - not me name calling - is still fearful of all things SNP. Alex Salmo...

Re: The 45
I'm not sure whether this should be posted here or under 'I'm disappointed in Seil' given Bill's Saltire vandalism but I had an interesting greeting this morning as I returned to Seil from my school run! From a 'local' and a 'no thanks' supporter, known to many of us, I received a quite remarkable a...

Re: Signage
You're correct Jim, I will have a busy schedule on Friday morning.......!! I would be very surprised if that were even to be considered a place for the display of this kind of material. Then you must prepared to be very surprised as many of us were! I for one was not swayed in my opinion despite bei...

Re: Signage
I don't want to get into a debate about who took whose poster down but I have to say that in the area Kilmelford to Knipoch, Kilninver to Eilean a Beach the vast majority of the YES posters on sign posts were done by me. I also have to add that at no time did I remove any no material of any kind fro...

Re: Superfast Broadband on The Isle of Seil
Gavin, Being a nontechnofile I understand from asking one of the guys working at this project that this is NOT 'superfast broadband being run in the ducts but the piping, that will eventually carry the cabling that will bring it. He didn't know when that will be. He also said that the poor broadband...
Re: Goats....
Sailed round Eilean Duin on Friday and a fine herd of 12 goats or so were on the shore on the mid-western part of the island, just north of where i saw them before - earlier posted photo.
They all look fine and healthy.
Sorry no camera with me, only iphone - next time!

Re: YES signs
Kevin,
A few more, less than apparent, have also appeared!
Seemingly, according to sources, it has caused a furore with claims of vandalism and offence!
Where are these signs that cause so much grievance?

Re: YES signs and Posters
.................and just for a real balanced view, no doubt giving all the pros and cons of independence we have; " An Evening with George Galloway and the ( Allegedly) RT Hon Brian Wilson" They will be appearing in the Corran Halls Oban on 22nd Aug at 7.30pm. I understand tickets are ava...

Re: YES signs and Posters
Jim, you really can't expect those on the panel to give the case for a no vote! I have suggested you organise an alternative meating giving the BT side. Nick has suggested you give that side on Monday. I think the ball is well and truly in your court! At a meeting in Appin I attended, a man, similar...

Re: YES signs and Posters
It is my understanding that BT or NT do, or used to, organise tribal' meetings themselves in the cities i.e. propaganda meetings to which only those vetted were invited. There were farcical instances where those who were going were informed of the venue and time by email it was so secret. BT/NT have...

Re: YES signs
Not to be outdone by Nick and Johan's 'wee things' I can offer a template as below; 2300 X 1100 - it's the same size as the one above the YES shop in Oban. Only one can be cut from any old sheet of ply and painted, or, paint a sheet blue/white and use the template to paint a white/blue YES on it! If...

Re: YES signs and Posters
Top left of poster states quite catagorically 'Public Meeting' Middle left .... Yes?No? Don't Know? Bottom left....Get informed At no other place on this poster does it mention the word 'debate' and this is due to the reluctance of no supporters to attend these meetings on the panel. There have been...

YES signs and Posters
It seems a great shame that local establishments have not thought it appropriate to display the much smaller A4 posters advertising the forthcoming meetings in North Argyll and espsecially the one being held in the hall next Monday at 7pm. These are notices advertising a public meeting to inform any...
