There is a conference on Saturday 15th May 2010 at Oban High School between 10.00am and 2.30pm. This is designed to give the community an opportunity to share their views and opinions with Oban, Lorn and the Isles Local Area Community Planning Group. Feedback from the events will be used to influence priorities and service delivery.
The Oban, Lorn and the Isles Local Area Community Planning Group has begun to identify local priorities and issues but needs to hear what community representatives have to say about Transport, Economic and Community Development, Health and Wellbeing, and Oban Town/Rural Development.
Councillor Duncan MacIntyre, Chair of the Oban, Lorn and the Isles Local Area Community Planning Group says: ‘The Oban, Lorn and the Isles Local Area Community Planning Group is committed to engaging with and involving as many people as possible in community planning to influence priorities and service delivery.
‘The Forward Together conference at Oban High School on the 15th May 2010 will provide an excellent opportunity to hear the views of a wide range of community representatives and organisations.
‘I sincerely hope that people from communities across Oban, Lorn and the Isles will come and join us for what promises to be an interesting and informative event”
There is no charge for attending the conference. Lunch and refreshments will be provided and if advance notice is given, assistance with transport and care costs is available.
