 8) A great new site for a great wee shop. Well done all concerned!

2 minor comments:

1) Would it not be good to have an encouraging "contact and advance order" feature for those self-caterers about to visit Seil so that they can pre-order some supplies?

2) Back to flogging my old dead horse, please note the remark about the lack of mobile phone signal on Seil. When on earth are we going to remedy this deficiency which is keeping us in the communications dark ages? Alistair says it's a regular complaint and a definite market loser.......

8)

I think some horses are well worth keeping on flogging, Spiderman...

“…lack of broadband and mobile phone coverage in many rural areas was preventing businesses from recruiting and young people from accessing jobs and support in education and training.”

Are you 'young' Spiderman?

Apparently the young are driven away from the countryside by lack of jobs, affordable housing and poor communication, such as mobile phone coverage. They leave in droves to the cities where they find jobs, get on the housing ladder, make a few pennies and socialise more easily through modern communication systems. Then as they age they return to the rural areas where they can afford the inflated house prices, can afford not to work, and can still enjoy a quieter way of life without the constant buzz of mobile phones going off.

Don't worry Spider, one day, you might be saying on Seil Chat how much you enjoy the fact that mobiles still don't work on Seil!

 8) PP, as any of my many movie admirers will know, Spiderman is basically ageless and blessed with superhuman qualities of all kinds, including remote transcendental communication skills; so my plea for a mobile phone signal on Seil isn't particularly personal. It's more for the benefit of the whole community, whether in the context of safety, business efficiency or general island infrastructure. You don't have to be young or old to want to enjoy modern IT. Unfortunately, there are a few island dinosaurs still hiding in murky dens round these parts, probably planted by the Green Goblin some decades back, who want to keep Seil in the dark ages regardless of the negative consequences for all. We must weed these wee monsters out and convert them! KAAPPOOOOOW! 8)
