Had 9 points on his licence (12minus 3)
A t Lochearnhead in January should the facts be known
Did a sporty fourty- two in a 30 zone
He tabled a question a fair while ago
and as you and I do he wanted to know
What are we doing about road accident rates
in rural areas and country estates
He mentioned also in some vague sense
there`s no excuse for a speeding offence
This of course is plain to see
if its the likes of you and me
Three points more thats twelve my man
should be automatic- six month ban
Unless of course-- between you and me
you employ a lawyer and you`re an M.S.P:
If he lost his license or so it would seem
Constituents would suffer hardship in the extreme
his case was argued by his legal team
the resulting ban was not so extreme
Life on public transport can it be that hard
or did he play the medical card
I couldnt give the reason in law
the ban was cut from six months to four
So can we assume with all this in mind
The law is an Ass; or Justice is blind
No not to the likes of you and me
but blind daft and deaf if you`re an M.P
Look at life now from a different angle
Many expenses claims but no scandal;
A huge expense is an Edinborough flat
