I put the nail into the wall
This caused the pipe to burst
Another D I Y disaster
Though I admit it not my first:


Looking back to schooldays
Try though as I may
These were never Cooldays
As projects went astray


The leg which had just looked so good
Was simply made of balsa wood
Supporting there the school display
Creaking gone, shattered,gone away

And as carve up followed carve up
Slowly sure I knew
That tradgedy and D I Y
Are partners ,so its true


I was working in the attic
Well I`ve only fate to thank
That whilst cabling electric
One end hit the water tank

A loud bang swiftly followed
And as one foot hit the beam
I landed on the water tank
You should have heard the scream


The extra weight placed thereupon
And youll guess how i cried;
Cracked the beam and main support
The tank then starts to slide


Through the bathroom ceiling
On to the bath below
Then crashing to the kitchen
How I watched the main tank go

The other half was in the bath
I sadly saw her die
Two Million reasons --in the bank
I wondered D I WHY??


Insurance is great for just a year later
The house is restored and pristine
For though I do miss my partners sweet kiss
I`m quite happy here with "Christine"


Oh the lawn is a mess; its had too mutch rest
Its covered in Dandelion Daisys and Weed:
Id do anything but give it a cut
Friends think I`m lazy but I`m not that crazy


I`d rather see Jungle,its good to the eye
Besides I know better than D I Why???

Well, I was about to embark on a bit of trying-to-fix-something myself, but I think I'll put the hammer and screwdrivers away instead before something bad happens. Cheers, Teddy.
