old age occurs when your back goes out more than you do

Im Not Over the hill
Simply too old to climb them
The things I cant physically do any more
If nobodys watching Ill mime them

Yesterday I was sitting at home
Heard heavy breathing over the phone
I didnt really know at all was
This an obscene phone call
Or an old friend trying to speak his name
Either way no message came

Ironic on birthdays the stand that you take
Year after year more candles on`t cake
Breatlessness youll not tell them about
But harderit gets to blow them all out

Younger and fitter men never complain
Me Im a martyr to each ache and pain
recurring problems now arise
if I just think of Excercise

Takes longer to rest now than it does to get tired
Eagle eye replaced by crows feet
Best thing of all now baldness is cool
and that cures the dandruff a treat

No im not over the hill
Simply too tired up it to blunder
But better by far in my rambling up hill
Than pushing the hill up from Under

Wow, Teddy, that's something else...

That's not only a great poem, but something to think about again and again. Cheers...

Thank you.

brilliant Teddy, and something I can relate to a little these days, since I've started getting on a bit in years!
