Seil Chat

With every note
the memories came in waves
like the sea in a storm

Eyes closed, a smile played on her lips
pictures danced in her mind
as the harmonies did in her ears

She reflected on musics mystic
and often overwhelming powers
how it could bring great joy
and then without warning
draw a crystal tear
from the proudest eye

It was, she thought
so many things all at once
a great form of escape
a transporter
a comforter
a healer

Tonights sweet melody was a time machine
and she welcomed it's cocooning embrace
it lifted her soul and made it sing.
