A few words on reading yet another comment thread ostensibly about religion in an online edition of one the newspapers. (I think one of the contributors was a guard called Ian.)


Some gorge on Eden’s fruit of hate,
Some quaff from Dawkins’ ire there.
Which side is right?
Well, in my sight,
The answer leans towards neither.

Some swear The Good Book’s all you need,
Some swear by Selfish-Genery,
And by these views
Both sides accuse
And ad hominem-ise the plenary.

That's a cracker P. Love the clever word use and Latin use ... Did you post your poem to that particular thread? Give some of those people who think they have the right to press their views on others some food for thought... (or having seen such threads and the comments of the fanatasists probably not). You do realise your soul will perish in hell for that one

Yes, I know what you mean. It can be very frustrating to read some of the crazy and over the top comments that are posted on some of these forums. Mind you, always gives you an excuse for a cheeky glass of red to help with the blood pressure!

Well, M, fuggily enough, I was out doing that very thing today. Not the wine, but the vodka lime and sodas. Ahm feelin' mellow.... Now, where's that new album of Madness's... Cheers...

Had a funny feeling you'd say that about rather having a V,L,S! Didn't know that madness had a new album, I have their older stuff. Hopefully my laptop will be on again tonight and I can check out music recommendations etc!
