I'd like to formally report these comments to the moderator and remind you three that bullying is not smart and it's not funny...

Actually I find "Eric the Viking"'s post totally sick. To make a joke out of a recent tragic event and at the expense of a deceased much loved local resident is beyond the pale. Heaven forbid what the O.T. would make of it if they found out that people here are joking about the sad circumstances of Charlie's death.

To formally report any post, us the red exclamation icon, or send me a pm. Posting that you would like to report a post is not the same thing, and will probably not result in action from the moderator. Extremely poor taste is not necessarily good cause to take action, by the way, although some come very close, Eric.

Actually I didn't even pick up on Erics joke, I was just having a laugh because my name contains the word "smell" in it, I don't really want to report anyone pfff...

Blimey; I can't believe that Eric can be allowed to get away with making such an incredibly distasteful and cruel "joke".
I've followed HerbyMacDice's advice and hit the "report post" button. hopefully action will be taken and the "joke" not condoned.

Eric has apologised, and did not intend to cause such offence. He has agreed that the post be removed. That subject is now closed.
Longshanks, yellow card. Either you are unable to read or you lack the common courtesy to use my correct name, even after I have taken the trouble to correct you on the matter. I find it extremely rude and offensive, and am tired of it.

But where's Eric's apology? He made a gross remark in public and should apologise in public.

how can you really be offended herby? is that really your CORRECT name. apologies if i am mistaken...

It is merely a matter of simple courtesy. Herby Dice is what I choose to call myself. That this is not perhaps the name I was born with is not the issue - it is my choice, and not Longshanks's. Longshanks insertion of this "mac" into various names is also no casual banter. He means it as an insult, of that I am sure.
Whatever his reasons, I tire of it, and I am Moderator, with almost godlike powers. I exercise them rarely, but have limited patience.

Gosh! Went to work today and came home to this: never seen so many 'contributions' in one day. I missed all the excitement and now haven't a clue what it was all about!
and I am Moderator, with almost godlike powers.
If we can't make comments which might be construed as rascist, bullying, smallist, yachtist, name-ist..... me wonders, if Herby Dice should give himself a yellow card for blasphemy? After all this comes after he wrote, referring to Longshanks
Not sure what your objete is here, Shankiepoos old bean.
At least he knows that the Herby Dice you buy is made by McCains... Herby MacDice ain't so far off the mark is it, and certainly not offensive? Double standards, not 'arf!

Hello, Admin. Wasn't part of the problem about this thread, leading to unwanted deviations, the lack of any words in your initial post? What smell are you smelling exactly? Is it a niff from the new sewage system? If so, shouldn't BB have fitted manhole covers without holes round the edges, ie sealed covers?

Blimey; this is fast becoming quite the most surreal thread ever.

If this thread were a painting it would hava Dada's signature on it.
............................
I accept my yellow card with my usual good grace and humble apologies.
I would also like to apologise to anyone whose family name begins with "Mac" or "Mc". I never realised that anyone considered to be called such was an insult (see what I mean about surreal?).
Looks like I'll have trouble ordering my favourite burger next time I'm in Fort William.
...........................
Now, back to "the smell". I can't smell it.

In the context of the art movement, Shankers, there wasn't a person called Dada. Maybe we should start a blog section called Shanker's Bloomers!

Cripes; what is it with "The Smell" ? Does it have hallicinogenic effects ?
MonaLott wrote:we should start a blog section called Shanker's Bloomers
Whatever rocks your boat Mona but, you should know, I wear boxers and, occasionaly, a leopard-print thong.
Dadaist Shanks (choosing a name by sticking a penkife at random into a dictionary, and then signing our pictures with that random name...by choice, naturally)
