Well good people, I didnot mean to light a powderkeg and will try not to scratch too deeply into the surface again it being rather thin.[ No promises]
I am tempted to answer the question of "Do you have a jackhammer banging away morning, noon and night?" asked by Nick B but I wont.
I am sorely tempted by the offer by Mona Lott to form a Bad Guys and Dolls Club but no, no.
I am very pleased that you Spiderman havenot left the forum as I spent some time beseeching you not to go only to find that topic blocked and I couldnot post that reply.
So, lets raise a glass together and say cheers everyone on the forum, yes even those in the naughty corner. Come, let us all look forward to a new year of lively debate.
If there is a wish for the forum it is this, please can we get a spell checker Nic B, it's all I want for christmas.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE from the minkarooni

Hi there fellow toasters,
Sorry I am a COMPLETE mink, as in the worst human kind of scruff, fond of old clothes and one who wrestles with the queen's english hence the desire for a spell checker.I mean, how can one state one's case with any credibility when it may contain the odd spelling mistake? Nothing more likely to raise a sarcastic laugh than egg on an earnest face!!!

Steady on Minnie old chap. Some of us only speak the King's (over the water) English.........Joking Nick, not being zenophobic, only joking.
So Minxie; you're not the bit of a minx I once met in Old Compton Street back in the fifties by any chance are you?

I believe Bit of a Mink is used in the vernacular, ie a bit smelly, possibly a caravan dweller.

Hush your pretty little mouth Seventh. You could get this thread locked and yourself deleted for comments like that.

Well, well Seventh and Eric, I am not biting.
Me thinks you must still be callow youths/youthesses as it seems you have not lived long enough for life to teach you to never assume a non de plume.
Minks like to live in damp places near water, fresh or salt.
That could be anyone around these parts.
Dear Longshnks has also assumed I must be a Ms Mink or I wouln't like to imagen that date in Compton.
No, I am merely an idle observer who likes to put their ore in now and again.
A lively debate is such fun, what say you?
Mind, we could all be related, everyone here fights like minks.
Seventh, what is the difference between a pecker and a jackhammer I wonder. Does the pecker go from morning to night and do you get folk threatening to jump into the hole?

I apologise.... I was not infering that you were smelly or a caravan dweller, only I seem to remember someone who was "a bit of a mink" was generally seen as being a bit smelly etc etc. And yes on the same pedantic note...... pecker and jackhammer are one and the same....
