The only way is by by IP address - and you, my dear piece of , have (for example) posted 32 times from your current IP address but have also posted from six other IP addresses. However, there is nothing unusual about this as they are all IPs issued dynamically by your ISP.

In fact, another weel kent member on this forum has posted more often from this IP address than you have - and the sheer frequency compared with other IP addresses the two of you have posted from means I have my suspicions.

I may suspect that you are a ringer for a certain other forumite - but it remains a suspicion . . . . and although I could perhaps pursue this matter with more diligence I do not see any reason to.

I have no definitive way of identifying dual identities and no great interest in tracking such things down even if it were possible. And of course even if I did know I wouldn't reveal this to anyone as I have a duty under the data protection act.

Even in the event of persistent and malicious trolling it is easier just to keep an eye on them and ban the offending IDs if they get out of hand. Happily any multiple personalities that may be operating on this forum have so far proven themselves top be relatively benign.

Using a proxy server is better than dynamic ip if you want to stay anonymous. I don't think there is a point in doing this on this forum People living on this lovely island don't have anything to hide, do they
