I don't know if anyone saw the video (ha-ha) of the so called Iranian (Revolutionary Guard not just soldiers in boats) circling the massive US destroyers.

No close up picture in this age of brilliant surveillance techniques and the DAFT Yanks expect us to believe it is another threat to allow then to invade Iran.

Honestly you couldn’t make this stuff up.

Yes Iranian "ships".....is this not what the Americans used to call boghammers.
Pale Blue is a strange colour for a naval ship and it was very close to Iran....also are only American ships allowed in "International" waters?
I see the right wing press have got there prioritys right ...oil...oil..oil..mmm reminds me of the time Fox news tryed to connect mad cow disease in Maine with the rise of Al qieada....or however you spell it..

Hej PP .....You like US Navy and old jokes:

This is the transcript of the ACTUAL radio conversation of a U.S. naval ship with the Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland. The Chief of Naval Operations on October 10th 1995 released the radio conversation.
_________

Canadians: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the South to avoid a collision.

Americans: Recommend you divert your course 15 degrees to the North.

Canadians: Negative. You will have to divert your course 15 degrees to the South to avoid a collision.

Americans: This is the Captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course.

Canadians: No. I say again, you divert YOUR course.

Americans: THIS IS THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER USS LINCOLN. THE SECOND LARGEST SHIP IN THE UNITED STATES ATLANTIC FLEET. THREE DESTROYERS, THREE CRUISERS AND NUMEROUS SUPPORT VESSELS ACCOMPANY US. I DEMAND THAT YOU CHANGE YOUR COURSE 15 DEGREES NORTH, I SAY AGAIN, THAT'S ONE FIVE DEGREES NORTH, OR COUNTERMEASURES WILL BE UNDERTAKEN TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF THIS SHIP.

Canadians: We are a lighthouse. Your call.

So are we saying how pathetic the US are in trying to con us that these few small Iranian boats with a few soldiers are a real threat and justify blowing them out of the water??

Kinda puts the potency of our Royal Navy into perspective, doesn't it? These few small Iranian boats with a few soldiers in them captured our Royal Navy. What an embarrassment.

Are they actually Iranian Naval vessels?? Surely a country that is such an alleged threat wouldnt have its soldiers or saliors gadding about in a bright blue boat....
To be honest what would the Americans do if there were massive Iranian Ships patroling its coast?? Bomb them into vapour methinks.

The Iranians do have big grey naval ships too. But they know if they headed for the same waters as the US Navy they would be treated as a threat and if they didn't back down would be blown into the ether.

So the boats are sent out to taunt the US knowing that because they are in small boats they can just about get away with it. And if they don't and are attacked then the US will be seen as the baddie and a few more Make Senses around the world will have joined their side.

If you tease, push, prod, poke someone enough, whether in a playground or anywhere else, no matter how tolerant they are, at some stage they are going to turn round and, justifiably, punch your lights out.

I'm sure you don't mean that . . .

erm . . . let's have a bit of perspective here . . .

If we are talking about provocation it cuts both ways. These are Iran's home waters and I can quite understand why they don't like having the playground bully strutting up and down in front of them.

Secondly, 'punching someone's lights out' is never justifiable in a civilised society if all your much weaker opponent has done is harmlessly taunt you.

There are other things I could say about US foreign policy, but I will restrain myself . . .

Yes, if we could kill them with kindness it would be much better.(where's the tongue in cheek emoticons thingy?)

I haven't yet met a yank face to face who I considered was obnoxious, so where do they go so far wrong?
