WHERE ARE THE FORTHCOMING EVENTS????????

.
There are loads of forthcoming events in the new hall, mostly advertised on the high-tech system that is the paper jungle of the T&T's notice board. Why are none of the organisers bothering to post the events on here?
I sometimes feel that there is an 'older generation' who are determined to ignore the internet at all costs.
Would anyone like to take on the job of moderating this section and making sure it is kept up to date?

Nice try, Nick. I'm afraid that Seil Chat seems to be a virtual underworld to the Hall Committee. Shame that none of the Committee has noticed or responded to your nice request. Are they out of touch or are we too sad? Or too modern? Or too rude? Someone on the Committee, please tell us!! It seems obvious that advertising Hall events on the local internet site would be a good idea.
{As an aside, isn't it a bit of a shame that the Hall Committee hasn't planned a Hogmanay dance/ceilidh (on the actual last night) so that the folk on the island who may be lonely or have nothing much to do on Hogmanay could get together in the nice new hall that they worked and paid for for years, have some communal fun at a key timepoint, maybe have some drinks, food and fireworks and generally enjoy themselves together at a time when many folk would like - and need - some community coordination and fellowship? The present programme, having changed the event from before Hogmanay to January 2nd, maybe lacks confidence, is historically-based and is really missing the point - it is not satisfying the main need, ie for a Hogmanay focal fun event for the island.}
C'mon, someone on the Committee, talk to us!! Advertise the hall programme events on the internet. Answer our queries. Get modern! Or I'll treat you like the Green Goblins....... and come and get ya with my toxic stingers etc
KAPPPOOOOOW!!
