Alex salmon is just giving the better half of the UK a chance to see Scotland make a fool of herself again! Bet Scotlands big sister'll have to foot the bill too...

Not amusing moonraker old chap.
What a coming decade for us all though!
We've got the Olympics in 2012 and the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and could, likely, also have the Rugby World Cup in 2015, the Soccer World Cup in 2018, and the Cricket World Cup in 2019 (all being bid for by England).
Could well be a great time to be British (as always).

ps Time for the TnT to get Sky?

Um, I don't want to take away any of the enthusiasm for the games, but wasn't most of the hard work for the bid to host the Commonwealth Games in Scotland done long before the SNP got "in"?

Ah poor CHAVTASTIC, Good English slang word that..far better than what the scottish equivalent would be: "Nedtastic"
I was only having a laugh with everyone, that's what it was always about..
I'm very sorry that Scotland didn't go through but I'm sure this cosmopolitan island'll get right behind England and cheer them on..
