Dirty Campers

Anyone know the people who had a big dark coloured tent beside the games field at the weekend? They were probably here for the stone-skimming. They used the old stone shed as a toilet, didn't even bother to attempt to bury their sh*t.
Apologies for being crude but I'd like to feed it back to them. Personally.

These issues need to be "fed" back to the organisers. There have been a number of problems for the local community caused by this event - such problems need to be discussed so that they can (hopefully) be prevented next time.

I have heard rumblings about the alleged hassles caused by this event to the genteel inhabitants of Seil - but are they real or imagined?
Apart from the chocolate corner, anything else to report anyone?

I would like to catch a miscreant myself. I left a perfectly formed and quite exquisite example of a rare mineral, coprus humanis, in the same location for later collection and some toerag has nicked it. It is possible that this valuable specimen was mistaken for the casually discarded egesta of an intinerant stone-skimmer. I sincerely hope that the finder has not discarded what was to have been the crowning glory of my collection.

.....yes, I picked up some needles and disposed of them properly as I really didn't fancy anybody coming in contact with them accidently - I nearly did. Last year apparently alot of wood was stolen from the garden nearby and the police were called, they were probably too tripped for any of that this year.

It's a shame these people spoil the event for others, I have to admit I have never had any bother with such goings on, it seems though that the rest of the locals are fed up. Hopefully this can be adressed before the next gathering.

It looks like the best solution for anyone concerned about this, (and let's face it, it's a problem for the whole community when human excrement and, especially, used needles are found where kids might be playing), is to get the registration numbers of campers' vehicles so the police can trace them if necessary.

Surely the only way to stop this happening is to stop the whole event!!!
We must stop proles and people of a lower social order entering our wonderful Island.......quick start a neighborhood watch scheme, and get a full time police officer on this island to keep control of the crime wave sweeping our gated compound..

But at this time of the year I really rely on the ferry takings to supplement my monthly income, I didn’t get them last year and it almost ruined me! Keep the stone flopping, I say! And issue drugs in a controllable way with proper bio waste bins for dirty needles and poos etc
Drug screening for stone skimmers?

Don't tell me even stone skimmers are using performance enhancing drugs these days?
