Or perhaps the price of setts is forcing local badgers out of the market?

Decent - affordable setts for local badgers - that's what we need!

Don't blame it on the sunshine....don't blame it on the moonlight....blame it on the raptors.....eh Seumas!

The badgers were last seen boarding a highland heritage bus outside C. John's. After two nights in the Cleaver luxury hotel in Dalmally (where they enjoyed the bar and highland show), they are now safely back in Lancashire, residing in a retirment home just outside Leyland. The badger known as 'Og' is also getting some part-time work on a kid's telly show on channel 4.

They rang me the other night as they were terribly embarrassed that they had caused all this trouble. :D

Seamus, interviewed in the Oban Times on Thursday, explains the "disappearance" of the badgers on:
1. Raptors - what raptors?
the nearest eagles are either on Mull or up Scammadale. Buzzards would not take (or be able to take) badgers.
2. Competition - from what or whom?
Anyway; what's the fuss? - I know of an occupied set in Ballachuan woods and another in the woods behind the TnT.

Could it be that the Seil badgers have not been eradicated - but have actually been kidnapped by evil forces are now part of some covert gene manipulating mutant killer badger biological warfare experiment in Basra?

Here's tha latest from our man in Iraq...............Karim Jamil

"BASRA, Iraq (AFP) - The Iraqi port city of Basra, already prey to a nasty turf war between rival militia factions, has now been gripped by a new fear -- giant badgers stalking the streets by night.

Local farmers have caught and killed several of the beasts, but this has done nothing to dispel rumours of a bear-like monster that eats humans and was allegedly released into the area by British forces to spread panic.

Sattar Jabbar, a 50-year-old local farmer from Abu Sakhar north of Basra, believes the badger can tackle even large prey.

"I saw it three days ago at night attacking animals. It even ate a cow. It tore the cow up piece by piece. I tried to shoot it with my gun but it ran away into the orchards. I missed it," he said."

Lets be honest - it's not as far fetched an idea as the raptors!!!!!!!! :D
