Happy New Year everyone - lovely weather we're having.

Now that it looks as though Easdale will get a fixed link, who is going to pay? The taxpayer one assumes.

Maybe someone should work out how much the average house price on Easdale will rise with a fixed link and some sort of levy should be applied.

Thought the islanders don't want a fixed link so why on earth would they pay for it? Anyway, they write so many boring conflicting contentious letters to the Oban Times about it that it often seems ideal that they're afloat and adrift out there in the sea.

Standard Government thinking. If you want it, it is tied up in commitee and odds are you can't have it. If you don't want it, you poor ignorant souls need the governments help and it is on its way.

Same here in the States.

Cheers
