Try turning the key

Once upon a time drivers turned off their ignition before leaving their vehicle. Perhaps, in poorer times there was a need to be frugal with fuel. These constraints seem to bypass many drivers nowadays, who seem more than happy to stop outside shops, houses, etc, leaving their engines ticking over while they go about their incredibly important business. On one level this can be very thoughtless for those who have to endure the noise and fume pollution. On a grander scale, can anyone really claim to be unaware of the environmental implications of all our collective actions as individuals? So what is it that makes some drivers do this? - selfishness, ignorance or arrogance?

Maybe they are leaving the car running for the local NEDs. This way they won't have to break the window to get in. Very conciderint to the NEDs if you ask me.

Cheers
