Got a few slates loose ...

Is anybody else getting REALLY ticked off with great big macho boys' toys aeroplanes whooshing overhead and parting your hair while you're peacefully pulling out a few weeds in the garden? One came over this afternoon, so low it nearly lifted the slates off the roof. It's supposed to be an issue that our smiley mate Alan Reid has taken up on behalf of us beleaguered peasants. The MoD assured him that they "try to spread the disturbance as thinly as possible". Well, Alan, just come along up here every Tuesday or Wednesday and enjoy the aerobatic displays.

Yes I hear Engerland are going to win the world cup..........pehaps someone should let all the other countrys who can actually play football this.......I think Engerland will struggle to beat Australia never mind Brazil!!!
Any way I suppose we should be gratefull that we have all these jets n stuff roaring over head, the sound of freedom......freedom from what? the tyranny of .......what the oppresive French tax regime,or perhaps the darned efficiency and get up and go of Norway........
GO ON THE SWEDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's what I love about these forum-thingies. Start a thread about fighter planes and before you know where you are it's morphed into football! But I'm not going to be deflected ...
Is everyone enjoying Operation Neptune Warrior (or whatever it's called this time)? The O.T. last week invited us to "look out for" some type of jet, as though it was a rare and exciting butterfly. Our radio reception (never good) was non-existent this morning. I blame the War Office.

Freedom of Speech perhaps?
Pentland will probably be boycotting the £2 coin which will be in circulation next year to mark the anniversary of The Act of Union. Good on you old chap; I like a laugh.
And Seventh: Was that you yesterday evening driving around Seil with a Sweden flag flying from your car window? Laugh? I pissed myself.
Better not mention 1966 then. Danger of dehydrating if I read your replies!
