The Scots were promised those contracts in return for voting no. And they were threatened that they would definitely NOT get them if they voted YES because the UK would never build warships in a foreign country.
If the Type 26 contract does not come to the Clyde and goes abroad it will be the final nail in the coffin for Scottish trust of Westminster, with all that implies for the long-term future of the union.
I wonder what Carmichael will have to say about it.
