Scotland on Sunday says independence within SNP’s grasp

A poll commissioned by Scotland on Sunday - a paper with a very anti-independence editorial stance - shows the gap between YES and NO down to just 7%

YES : 37%
NO : 44%

This is the largest swing towards a Yes vote recorded so far in the campaign. It was revealed today in an ICM survey for Scotland on Sunday.

The game is very much on.

And when the pollsters asked the undecideds how they were likely to vote, the result shifted to 47 per cent Yes to 53 per cent No - meaning YES only needs a swing of just over three points to move ahead.
