Independence debate - separate/independent forum created

It is inevitable that independence related issues are likely to continue come up on here over the next year, but it is a contentious area and not of direct relevance to immediate local issues. I've therefore decided to give the topic its own forum and have moved recent posts on the subject to the new location. You don't have to go there, but if you do please take a deep breath, try to stay on topic and avoid ad-hominem attacks . . . if in doubt read the forum rules before posting.
