The new Oban Rowing Club was set up on Wednesday and will soon be building their first St Ayles skiff. They've got a website here http://www.obanrowingclub.org.uk/ and are also on facebook.
Meantime Kilmelford have announced that they are launching Gill of Melfort at the boatyard on 18 August at 1400.
Next Summer could see some fierce competition with Seil, Kilmelford, Ardrishaig and Oban boats all on the go.
