Holidaymakers - Point of View!

My wife and i would like to say how much we enjoyed our stay on the Ile of Siel last weekend, and will be returning again soon. Without naming where we stayed, i think we found a perfect hideaway for when we need to escape!
Both being in the Hospitality Industry and running a busy venue, last weekend was a perfect escape, especially as it was our Silver Wedding.
The only thing we will not recommend is the "Tigh an Truish" After our second visit last Sunday. We had had lunch there alone on Thursday 4th and enjoyed ourselves. The food was excellent, however when we went in on the Sunday, to see if we could book a table for 10 later that day, we wqere greeted by what i can only say was the rudest member of staff ever. To say we were ignored was an understatement, and now understand why it is impossible to leave comments for the Owners. The "girl" behind the bar was too interested in watching the Tennis than serving, It might have been Andy Murray on the court.. But she should have realised she was there to work. I am sure the owners would be interested that they were paying her to watch Tv rather than look after Guests.
As we were ignored at the end of the bar for over 10minutes we left and jumped in our car and headed to The Barn.. Were we had excellent service for our guests and a fabulous Meal. In this day and age, am sure no Venue can loose business, but after the service there we wont be returning.
We will highly recommend The Barn and also the Oyster Bar, to our friends who are booking for a Visit, but the £265 spent at The Barn was well worth it not to be ignorned.
Once again To the people of Siel, Thank you for your Welcome, its a pity not all are as welcoming!
