Can anyone advise me where the best place is for me to recycle my mother-in-law?

Should I take her to the Tescos recycling area, the Oxfam shop, or shall I send her to China where the rest of the stuff allegedly goes?

Don't recycle!

You can bin her with yer wife, and get a new one.

Alternatively a "Gold" wash at the car wash improves the way mother-in-laws look, but avoid using dish detergent, which contains harsh chemicals that, intended to cut through grease, will strip away the wax finish on your mother-in-law. Some are hard to rinse off and leave streaks. For best results, a formulated automotive wash is recommended, one that gently lifts the dirt and grime while protecting the finish.

Thanks for the tip, Pentlandpirate.

Unfortunately she's now shrunk and gone even more wrinkly. However, she may look good stood in a garden with a fishing rod - any takers?

Please don't be so harsh. I think you will find the shrinking is natural and nothing to do with the automotive shampoo. However it does sound like some restoration is in order. I find that Humbrol Enamel paints are best as these give a hard and colourful finish. Once completely dried take a nicely posed picture in natural light and try her on ebay. I recommend a low starting price of 99p to get things going, with no reserve. Try the Collectables category - subcategory "Weird" - and "Not that Unusual". Just make sure the winning bidder understands they must collect, as mother's in law, even poor condition, shrunken ones like this, are a pain to get in the letterbox.

I give up!

She's all yours - to be delivered to your door any day now. I have instructed the delivery company just t shove it through the letterbox even if it is a tight squeeze.

Enjoy!

No I'm not having you dumping your rubbish on foreign soil. However I will accept on a non-contractural basis with the option to return at your expense if she doesn't work hard enough.

It is true that I am currently looking out for a second hand petrol driven shredder. I need one with at least 8hp motor. Is your mother in law more than 4" in diameter?
