Concerns have been raised by some people on the Island about the number of times mail seems to go missing.

We (the Community Council) would be interested to know if anyone else has this problem.

If it appears to be an Island-wide matter of concern, then we could write to the postal authorities and ask them to investigate.

As far as I know I haven't missed any mail, but sometimes you wouldn't know, would you. My main problem is receiving mail addressed to others, sometimes for people at the other end of the island. I always repost it as soon as I can, but it's very annoying. And one of my letters was delivered to somebody else last week - I got it OK in the end as the recpient brought it round. I wouldn't have minded her keeping that one, though, as it was a bill :!:

I've had both outgoing and incoming mail disappear into the void. My poor son got a bit of a nagging when I didn't get a birthday card last month. It turns out he did send me one, and my daughter confirmed it as it was she who actually posted it when she sent hers, (this from Bristol)

A package with some files on CD from my brother in Glasgow also went missing.

Maybe a few questions to the appropriate authorities might be in order?
