ELECTRICITY SUPPLY WORK CANCELLED

In view of the forecast minimum of -15C for Oban tonight the electricity board has cancelled the planned work for tomorrow. This would have seen power on Seil potentially off from 9am - 5pm tomorrow.

The electricity supply will now remain on all day. The planned work will be carried out sometime in the New Year when temperatures have risen a bit.

While appreciating the pessimistic forecast, surely a bit of global warming will have kicked in before then - it shouldn't even have allowed this fridgid stuff anywhere near us.
