I think the Penthouse Pirate is quite right in a no platform policy for terrorism top ten - even by the standards of this forum it's in bad taste!
Having said one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter so it always pays to keep any open mind on these things - and maintaining a healthy cynicism to those in power means your not going to be disappointed when they turn out to be just as bad.

"They were home grown in that they had come to the UK (with better intent) long before they decided they would do their bit for the war against the infidel. "
I too know some people who worked at the RAH, they did not decide to become terrorists while staying here, most simply wer'nt here long enough.
As for the Northern Irish thing it was on the news so it must be true. ( I was talking about within Britain)
"None of them are worthy of a place in society."
Does this include the ANC?

The UK police terrorism arrest statistics (excluding Northern Ireland) from 11th September 2001 to 31st December 2006 show 1166 arrests. (source publications.parliament.uk etc)
How many do you think were made in Northern Ireland in the same period and were specifically related to the IRA? I can't find the statistics but I think you will find it is considerably less.
Negotiation and mediation always has to be better than conflict and killling. And that applies to the ANC too.

You really should look into how the name Al-Qaida was introduced and by who !!!

A name is a name. It is just a means of reference. Does it really matter what they are called, who calls them what or what their badge or flag is? I think everyone understands who they are and what their aims and origins are.
If you are suggesting Bill Clinton dreamed up the name I think that is wrong!

Without a doubt in my eyes it is well hyped up, control by fear as always been the way. It can't be that hard to let of a bomb can it really, just think if you wanted to do it yourself do you think anyone would know! As someone mentioned earlier there are hundreds of people killed everyday on the roads! Me smells a big brother state!

Shame it never applied to the Americans and especially the CIA.
Before you start shouting "terrorist" , "dictator" or "enemy of democracy" at others perhaps they should look a bit closer at their own conduct.
Reagan was quite happy to sell Arms to Saddam (dictator/enemy of democracy) and use the ill gotten proceeds to support and arm the Contras (Terrorists) to destabilise and undermine Ortega's democratically elected government of Nicaragua.
Furthermore, the CIA and US government were complicit in the shipping of Cocaine from Columbia to be sold on the streets of the U.S. as "crack"
to their own citizens as a further means of providing finacial support to these terrorists.
Still - In God we Trust - I suppose!?

It is easy to make a device
But with forensics the way they are YOU WILL BE FOUND, because they will hunt you to the end of the earth to find you.
You may think you can be discrete and assemble the materials required. I would suggest you are likely to start alarm bells ringing very early on.
Where exactly did you say you live? And what was your name again?
Anyhow I find this topic somewhat distasteful so I'm out of it before I say more than I should

Spiderman; the choice of name must have been obvious to you given your high and mighty attitude to everything on this site.
You are wrong on both scores.
I suspect your fancy pants are too frilly to convey you to New York without going on an aeroplane. If only you knew what I know you wouldn't be so complacent. Perhaps it is no bad thing for you that ignorance is bliss.

No, Seventhseil: not my style. He was a white supremacist paramilitary leader even using a flag very similar to Hitler's Nazi flag. Are you sure you aren't a secret admirer given your SS initials?

So far from the mark my friend. Go find out where the name originated and by whom. You will find it if you look hard enough.
It is very important and not just a name is a name or just a reference.

MS are you one of those who thinks everything that has come since the Soviets left Afghanistan, i.e, 9/11, Madrid bombs, 7/7, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Somalia, suicide bombs, the beheading of captured Westerners is part of a well planned and executed CIA plot??
That's a convenient explanation for things too big for the collective human mind to explain, ..........just like the creation and meaning of Life with Genesis and God.
And so we end up with the Holy Bible and the Koran, which equally try to explain these things. If God had not invented (supposedly) religion, we might all have been able to live in peace. Does that Make Sense?

PP are you one of those who can't just look at a question then go get the answer?
Stop rattling on trying to 2nd guess where I am coming from and open your eyes.

by Pentlandpirate
I think you'll have to tell me because I am obviously missing something.
There seems to be real confusion what it means, and even how it is spelt.
To save me having to 2nd guess
What is your answer to:
1) How it is spelt?
2) Who created the name?
3) What it means?

mr pirate, what is my name and where do I live why would you want to know that? Do you really think I want to make a bomb you muppet, just goes to show how deluded the government as made you! Terrorim as come about and made worse because of the UK and US medalling in the middle east, and it doesn't take rocket science to know why they do. Black gold texas tea! Without control over the worlds oil and with its own 2% dwindling fast the US would soon loose its super power status, and its economy would be in a mess. Money talke and sh*t walks in this world my friend so wake up and smell the coffee. weapons of mass destruction never found. The sanctions on iraq caused the death of a thousand children a month, the bombing of iraq in the initial war caused the death of 600,000 civilians something neatly missed by the worlds press. Now in a so called free society how come that kind of thing doesn't get on the news! Influence by corporate money making big wigs sponsors of tv and other media, basically print and show what we want the public to know or lose your money and ya job. I can give you facts but i really don't have the time and Im sure it would only fall on deaf hears that are in denial>. Namaste !
