The ball must be kept rolling at all costs.
To Bill mcD - obviously a daily subscriber to the Independent, with yet another pithy entry on the subject of Mr Murphy.
But why he has been singled out for headlines and a large head and shoulders seems a bit unclear, as it transpires that all the panellists (including goody two shoes) have vaguely admitted to being involved in the drug scene. If we had to rely on anyone entering political life having a completely clean blameless history (and remaining so in office) then the ranks would be seriously depleted.
When I was in my formative years I developed a craving for nicotine (it was the current "in" drug at the time) and it took me nearly 50 years to shake off the addiction. So, we all may have slight blots in the copybook, but it is hardly the stuff of headlines in the press.
To NB - When I suggested a Scottish Administration, I was "ironically" referring to a UDI which he favoured. However, it would appear that he took the reference to mean Westminster. As I understand it, the SNP will be fielding a candidate in every seat in Scotland. And the parties who are vying for our votes have all got their pledges to entice us. But what do these SNP hopefuls have as a manifesto to pursue down south, apart from Home Rule, and scrapping Trident ? And as NB rightly points out the Westminster odds do not favour either course.

Not really Jim, it's just that the man is so wonderfully accident prone that the papers can't resist commenting on his daft blunders.
No other political leader of any party is so inept, if they were then the media would pounce on them as well. Scotland's Socialist deserve much better that Murphy.
Anyway, back to the topic of polls, did you read the following?

Just one more indication that the Scots are on the road to Independence and believe it's the road to follow.
Is it possible that many of the 'NO' voters have simply seen through the 'Vow'?

So Bill mcD may not be interested in keeping the ball rolling, but by golly, the SNP aligned press have sure got it in for Mr Murphy any way they can. And why? - because they see him as a threat to persuading Labour voters to denying the SNP their current "cock-a -hoop" rating to wipe the board in Scotland come May.
It is perfectly understandable that Bill McD will trash anyone who might stand in the way of his goal, and produce evidence? to substantiate his argument - but is all this not rather negative - why not push the positive button instead?
And on the final point about the VOW? This is another thing about that commitment that the "better together" campaign put forward at the closing stages of the referendum (a lot of mistakes were made on both sides during the campaign, but the NO lot were remiss in only producing this towards the final stages). However it was a commitment to furthering the powers of Holyrood and the parties to the accord have had their say, and the agreed devolution is now in the process of being enacted.
So please, B McD or NB or anyone else out there who is on the SNP bandwagon - can you explain to those who read these entries - what devolved powers which were promised in the "VOW" statements, have been reneged on, and will not now occur in the due course of time.?

We're way off topic again but I think it's worth referring you back to Cameron's post Indiref speech on the 19th Sept. i.e. the morning after the vote. It was that speech that caused many 'NO' voters to doubt the sincerity of the 'NO' campaign, the result being the flood of new support to the SNP at the expense of the Scottish Labour and Conservative parties and the predicted SNP landslide.
I've linked it below:-

'Wee Eck' was also taken aback by Cameron's 'triumphalist' speech and realised that the SNP were being offered an open goal.
Have a look at todays Scotsman (incidentally, I don't buy these papers I just read them online like everybody else)

Well, to reply to our two SNP stalwarts -
NB - SNP aligned press is the current one which espouses the cause of Independence on it's front cover - which probably is a sell out to party members vying to keep it alive- witness the number of copies on display in Tesco, which seems to be the only source I have come across. And also the mainstream press who have trumpeted the SNP cause on occasion.
I realise that I am not an authority on the allegiance of any particular tabloid or broadsheet but NB must admit that there are sources - Wings over Scotland, for example where he can find quotes to further the cause, and purvey them here to keep the troops happy, and myself having an overriding desire to produce a balance into the equation. His trumpeting of another piece of propaganda released today showing his ability to also copy verbal interviews onto his website is indicative of the ear bashing we are going to get from this direction.
Now B McD - In my previous remarks, I asked the opposition to enumerate which VOWS had been rescinded since proclaimed, and the best he can come up with was an ill advised remark by D. Cameron immediately after the Referendum ( I hold no brief for Mr Cameron) which was largely irrelevant to the subsequent all party discussions.
So, purely to get a definitive answer - could either of our two protagonists give me an answer to what further devolution proposed, has now been rescinded by the parties involved in implementing it?.
Finally, as a parting shot, to B McD, who asserts that J, Murphy is the most unreliable politician within these shores ( I personally find his rhetoric a bit too strident) but surely he has not yet surpassed the ability to shoot themselves in the foot of the UKIP bunch.
