A great statesman would have taken the opportunity, since the hint was given, to criticise Putin. The fact he didn't will be alarming to many.

He did criticise Putin.

What part of 'obviously, I don't approve of a range of Russian actions' are you having difficulty with ?

It's a bit lame wouldn't you say? He didn't exactly go to town on him did he?
Attacks on homosexuality, murdering dissidents in London, sending spy planes towards Scotland, provoking and undermining the government in Ukraine and for being so corrupt, there is no equal in history. And that's not to mention all sorts of other nasty things he is doing elsewhere, such as supporting Assad in Syria and the suppression of peoples who want the right to self-determination
It sounded like he didn't want to criticise them whilst at the same time admiring other things Putin has done.

Don't you think we could accuse the Bitter Together campaign of being a tad hypocritical on this one ?

Not at all. We got Stalin to help us against Hitler.

So if Cameron asks for help from the evil dictator Putin to thwart Scots ambitions then that is fine.

But if Scotland's First Minister makes a single comment that Putin has gone some way towards restoring Russian pride that is beyond the pale.

Your inability to see the hypocrisy and gullibility of your arguments is pathetic.

I am also aware that the obsessive Longshanks, his PM route having been cut off, is now emailing you responses to my posts. You would never have found your way to 'Ah Dinnae Ken' yourself, and it is one of his favourites . . . In fact, I suspect the odious little site is his brainchild.

You have become Longshanks' puppet. Have you no pride, no shame at all?

Some of us, Nick, have more to do in a day than spend it combing the world's press, in the attempt to find headlines suitable to our paranoia, and transferring them onto the propaganda website.
One can get a fair indication of what is happening in the world, just from a glance at a selection of newspaper headlines.
Now I know you are going to dispute that and say that the foul mouthed press are ganging up on your espoused cause, and it is a case of persecution by those with little regard for the true facts (as you see them).
I am not given to making personal criticism very often, but if you are blinkered enough to think that everything emanating from the Yes Camp (including Mr.Salmond) is gospel and cannot be questioned, and everything from the NO camp is absolute rubbish, scaremongering, and should be dismissed out of hand, then I reckon your mind is closed to reason. There are pro's and con's to every situation, and to deny this is indicative of paranoia.
If this gets me drummed off the forum, so be it

You just carry on believing that if you want to, Jim. It's certainly what the NO campaign want you to believe. It's irrelevant anyway; you have always intended to vote NO and nothing anyone says to you is going to change your mind.

I hope you don't think I reply to you and Innes in any hope of changing your minds - Innes doesn't have a vote and you are a lost cause.

Meanwhile, at the grassroots and all over the internet away from the mainstream media a massive campaign for the hearts and minds of the nation is under way. The NO campaign ignore that at their peril.

Wow you are paranoid Nick! I have never had an email from Longshanks and I have never posted anything on his behalf, with his prompting or his suggestion. I found I dinnae ken all on my own. Don't bother to apologise.

I won't. It's only paranoia if you have no proof. Have you no understanding of how a database works?
Innes Newton wrote:I found I dinnae ken all on my own.
And - are you happy with the attitude and tone of Ah Dinnae Ken ?

You think a site with the tagline 'Hate Blinded Idiocy From The Vaults Of The Politically Disenfranchised' is a good place to go for unbiased information?

I'm staggered! Are you confessing to reading other people's PRIVATE MESSAGES on the Seil Chat community website?

Why are you staggered? More faux outrage . . . that's rich.

You are not paying much attention. I already documented this incident in the Website News section on Monday.

Let me clarify matters for you. If I suspect that the PM system is being used to conspire against the administration of the forum, to circumvent the banning of certain individuals and thus allow them to post under false pretences, to make false accusations and even threats then I have not only the right but the obligation to do so.

In this case it turns out that my suspicions were well justified.

Now, because of the abuse of the system by you and Longshanks, the PM system has been suspended indefinitely.

I hope you are happy with yourself.

Sorry Innes,

I am afraid I accidentally deleted your last post.

It's easily done if you hit the Edit button instead of the Quote button.

(Yes, admins can edit other peoples posts as well, though I don't do that except perhaps to asterisk the occasional bad word)

Anyway, I remember the general gist. You are correct that Longshanks was not banned. He would not have been able to log in and access the PM system if he had been.

He is banned now, and he is never coming back.

Nick you deleted my post deliberately. Yet again you shy away from the truth. Shameful. You can't face it

What a thoroughly unpleasant little man you are Newton.

I resent being called a liar, particularly by someone who is such a total stranger to the truth as yourself.

Not forgetting that you have actually called me a liar several times.

Are your logic circuits in complete meltdown ?

I have not deliberately deleted your post. However, your current attempt to spam the board by repeatedly posting the same thing on every thread is of course an infringement of the rules.

I am away to have my tea. If you have not removed those multiple postings by the time I come back you will be banned. It will be a lifetime ban. It's up to you.

Unfortunately for Innes he has not thought better of his childish copy and pasting spree and the edit time allowed is now past.

Sadly I am going to have to ban him. Hopefully he will find something more constructive to do with his time.

The upside is, we might get some intelligent discussion on here.

I suspect a few people have been put off posting by the manic intensity of the always right and utterly fact and logic free Mr. Newton.
