Clachandubh Cottages changes to plan (retrospective)

Post by NickB »

.
In today's Oban Times:

Variation of condition 4 of planning permission 08/1306/DET (Erection of 6 dwellings and access drive) - access arrangements (retrospective)

And on the Argyll and Bute site HERE (though my attempt to see anything informative via the Plans Combination in Associated Documents resulted in a System Error)

The work seems to have already started. It appears to involve the main access into the site coming out beside Clachandubh Lodge rather than round the corner opposite the house that was the old Free Kirk. Hardcore is down, presumably just awaiting planning consent before tarring. Rumour has it that this is to avoid putting a pavement in alongside the wall round the corner at Balvicar Crossroads. It may be though that access from the shop side of the crossroads simply makes more sense and that TSL are doing it for a good reason.

Did anyone attend the Open Day last Saturday? We missed it due to having misread the time

I popped in, Nick, to black my nose. The sales agent was dishing out food & drink, and very keen to win over the locals. She said they needed to sell one of the two remaining houses to give them enough capital to start on the other three on the right angle (the middle one has already been sold).

Surprisingly light and airy inside, and well finished ... but I won't be buying one!
