Scottish Hydro Deal

Post by Gavin Rae »

Has anybody researched the deal advertised in this week's Oban Times Page 5 ?

'Staying 2% under standard unit price till 2014'

I'm keen to find out what supplier most people on the island use and whether this is a deal worth exploring ?

Thanks

.
2% of the average annual electric/dual fuel bill is £25 . . . is it worth the hassle of switching to save 50p a week?

Not directly relevant, but if you are with Hydro on their 'Total Control' tariff (as we are) then it is not actually possible to switch without having the whole system ripped out - no other company will take it on. I don't care because it works for us and is a good way of dealing with the people who phone wanting to sell you a switch, but Hydro didn't bother telling us this when we installed it (nearly ten years ago now).
