The windfarm is in the parish of Kilninver and Kilmelford, so it is really their concern more than it is Seil Conmmunity Council's.

However, our Community Council did say this in the Seilachan of June 2011:
PROPOSED CLACHAN WIND FARM.
This has still not reached the stage of a planning application, although as soon as this happens, the CC is poised to conduct a survey to gauge the community’s opinions, to allow a proper submission to be made on our behalf.
(Italics are mine)

Has anyone recieved a survey? We haven't, and planning has been in for over a week now.

Definitely not more their concern than ours. How many folk in Kilmelford will even see this windfarm? How many of the handful of folk in Kilninver will be adversely affected? How many tourist buses per day stop at Kilninver? What are the relative impacted population ratios? Which community will be overshadowed most? The only bridge to which community will be wrecked by the transport of the heavy components of this construction? How on earth can you possibly say it's more their concern than ours? There are hopefully already enough objections from Seil to see this folly off. The questionnaire will be interesting but the real test will be the number and quality of objections.

Do calm down dear - I meant politically, because the development is in their area and not ours. That is - I presume - why the meeting is in Kilmelfort. Of course people in Clachan are going to be more affected.

‘The windfarm is in the parish of Kilninver and Kilmelford, so it is really their concern more than it is Seil Conmmunity Council's.’

Conmmunity: To con all and sundry with impunity. (See Eilean Eisdeal.)
