Golf course clubhouse !!!!!

A very sad site and, probably, beyond repair.

I would like to help with the cost of a new one so will be joining the golfclub as a non-playing member for 2012. Maybe dog walkers, walkers and others who roam that land for other than golf would like to do the same. It would be a nice gesture of solidarity with the golfers and may help to mend some currently fragile relationships. If I recall correctly its about £50 per year (please correct me if I'm way out). So twenty dogwalkers joining the golf club as non-players would raise £1,000 !

In fact the hut may stil be salvageable, but it needs to be upturned and nailed down again before the next storm blows it into the quarry!

Was over there this afternoon......it was neither upturned nor secured.....now a total wreck in many pieces after this morning's gale.....one more blow tonight and the debris will be all over Balvicar with a danger of secondary damage to property!

We're not back to the dark days of the moderator editing our posts to change the meaning are we? Last time that happened you handed over moderating duties to the crimson vicar and all hell broke lose with you having to ban him/her.

Longshanks, I was at the golf course too on Tuesday pm having seen the Seil Chat photo, now in the Oban Times.

Sadly it is now completely unsalvageable.

Also, I saw no golfers - given the conditions I wouldn't expect to, but, what I did see were two free running dogs, one on each side, and an elderly woman who seemed to be in control of the small dog she was with.

Wasn't you perchance????
