Too many 'oldies' ruining the place. They're not just from down there, plenty from the central belt trying to take over.

What a pathetic 'conversation'.

I hope you can do better to make this website interesting with your next contributions.

Even worse, interfering people who don't live here!

That attitude, the 'chip on shoulder' attitude of so many parochial Scots, to 'incomers', is THE SINGLE WORST ASPECT OF LIFE ON SEIL. It is shameful, pathetic and a blight on the great image most have of the Scottish people worldwide. That 'chip on shoulder' attitude seems to come from those who feel that life is less than perfect without acknowledging that they are part of the problem. They have to blame someone else for their woes. Just pathetic and feeble.

Well, go on then. Seeing you've knocked it, now tell everyone how you will make it so vibrant and interesting for the people who live there (without you two moving elsewhere).

The old chip on the shoulder thing is so predictable and sooooo boring..........

I think you're right, the chip on shoulder thing is so boring and predictable, but you should be embarrassed because you and Salty appear to proove it is sooooooo true. The Arabs and Israelis appear to have more chance of living harmoniously than some of you.

You've knocked this website but so far haven't suggested any way to make it any more interesting. Unless your idea of having fun is to blame everyone who isn't locally born and bred for your problems.

If you think the site is boring, post something interesting. Simple really. Whingeing and vague racism aren't terribly interesting, and might attract the attention of the moderator.

Oh, right, that's me. Consider my attention attracted.

Well Herby, as you can see I have tried to start some threads on current local issues but apparently no-one is interested, so maybe Salty and MS. Thrope have a point.

What exactly does it say about the level of interest in this site when the only respondent is a non-resident pirate who likes to get round the swear filter by making veiled threats in Finnish?

At no time was it stated that all 'incomers' were unwelcome, indeed some have made a great contribution. Others, however, seem hellbent on changing a way of life that I have no embarrassment about wanting to save. When people say you can no longer walk the shoreline [Clachan] or regard a public road as their own personal property [Balvicar]should we just ignore it?
Certainly don't need the likes of PP handing out 'advice'!

You'll find PP has never previously given advice on access to property. But I will now take the opportunity to say that I am strongly in favour of the principle that anyone can have access to any land as long as they do not cause damage or nuisance.
