Yorkshire is famous for its dales, so it's no surprise to discover that Easdale is slowly becoming a land of giant Yorkshire puddings. I can't deny my connections to that great English county, for that's where my parents briefly lived and I came into this world, but lastweek I was disappointed to see that some elements of the community barely conceal their resentment for the changes made for the good by incomers making their future in the area..........and I repeat "making their future" because they are working hard at contributing to the community, when some of it's longer standing members just stand by and mutter under their breath.
Isn't it better to be a little part of Yorkshire than dead?

yorkshire.............
What changes?
Glad to hear you had a good trip to Lil' yorkshire by the sea P.P, finally I understand where your attitude comes from. The old "im from yorkshire, we did it first and did it best!" perhaps if your visit had been a little longer you would have gotten to the bottom of why there is a little resentment to the export model yorkshiremen/women you speak of.
Next time you and yours take a jaunt north perhaps you should have a name badge on......that way we can talk to you in person....perhaps pay you as an advisor to the people of Seil, on all subjects.....such as holidaying on Seil, getting to Seil from cheshire, getting back to cheshire from Seil.
Any way I digress...as what can be at best described as a part-time resident of Seil now.I feel its my duty to curb my posts and leave the forum open to those who live on the island and experience its frustrations and its advantages first hand ....I will miss N.O.S and P.P's xenophobic imperialist guff and also those of you who had constructive things to say.........Bye bye and all the best

And face to face you would have found I teased you in the same way I do here. But for those who do think Seil is a pretty special place it doesn't half strike tourists strange to overhear one group of residents bitching about another group behind their backs.
