Racism

Re: Racism
Why is that racist? It's just saying that a particular product was sold more in one area than in another. It's consumer statistics; a fact.

Re: Racism
Its just that in all this rainy weather, they make good emergency waterproof bunnets.
The owls are not what they seem.
Re: Racism
Racism is the belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.
This article suggests the Scots are superior to the English!

Re: Racism
If it said "Scottish men are more generously endowed than their counterparts elsewhere in the UK" then I could see your argument, but it doesn't say that. It's just stating the results of a sales analysis from Tesco.

Re: Racism
This article says more large condoms are sold in Scotland. There could be many reasons for this, but it is on its own no more than a consumer statistic. The rest is idle speculation. This article suggests the Scots are superior to the English!
However, if you really believe that having a larger penis is what makes a man superior then may I respectfully suggest that you need to get a life

Speculation or implication is everything with this kind of subject if you know what I mean, nod, nod, wink, wink
Re: Racism
But speculation is in the mind of the beholder.
It could just as easily mean that men in Glasgow overestimate their ideal fit: inflated egos? Or that they buy big in order to impress the girl at the checkout: deflated egos.
Or as Peter C says, that they make better waterproofs as they are bigger and it rains more in Scotland than in England.
To entertain the possibility that it is racist, AOL news is an American company. So are the Americans being negatively racist towards the English, or positively racist towards the Scots (or "Scotch" as they say?). Is there such as thing as positive racism?

Re: Racism
Can`t see the Americans as racist towards the Scots in particular
Most have never been out of America.have no idea where Scotland is
and couldnt care less anyhow.
One needs to see Scotland before deriding it (or otherwise)
and maybe deciding it rains a lot.
thus increasing the sales of prophylactic hats.
And wasnt it ignorance on behalf of the local population that got the natives of
Hartlepool their nickname of monkeyhangers
