Great news!
Just been browsing the latest issue of Yachting Monthly and imagine my delight and pride when I read that our local has been voted into the top 40 Best Yachtie pubs in the whole of the U.K.
I know I've only lived here for a very short while but I never realised that the Tigh an Truish was a yachtie pub, let alone one of the best in the U.K. !
I've got nothing against sailing boats (despite a comment I may have made about Balvicar Bay which was, in fact, prompted by my partner ranting about the uselessness of the sewage works) and think that congratulations to the landlord are in order.
