Viva Seil! Amandla awethu...aluta continua!

Translation: long live Seil! Power to the people...the struggle continues!
you folks have so much power to shape and stregthen your community, and to build the world you want to live in. Living under apartheid has forged my belief that freedom of speech is vital, but negativity and propaganda undermines the strength and power of the whole community. So take back your power, Seil. Commit to community...don't take your freedom and your way of life for granted. Support each other to make the place you live in a safe haven, where you celebrate your right to have an opinion and express that opinion, but always be aware of what power that opinion holds.
As far as slander is concerned....I'd get my ducks in a row before I point any fingers....and the personal message system is good for venting if you feel you absolutely must, but remember there is another being on the other side (i might come from another planet, but I have feelings, too). And if you feel the need to confront anyone...show yourself, and at least make an attempt to work it out?!
Then there's the truth commission: yes, by all means prove your innocence - even if you don't have to- at least it makes others aware of how seriously the accusations have impacted your life.
Three months ago I left my home and family to find a beautiful and safe and healthy environment to raise my sons...you have everything I want, so enjoy it. Now go bake something and know that as a community you are free and respect your freedom. If you respect your freedom, then there should be no need to moderate it...?
Good vibes and merry Christmas.
living life one bite at a time...unless, of course, there's a not so wee cookie jar nearby?
