With reference to the above, and having had a right good read of it, I understand the points previously raised.
However, whether the topic is locked or not is irrelevant.
The publication clearly states its a Community Council newsletter and therefore it is up to them, the democratically elected (by us ) to produce the letter.I deduce that it is endorsed by all councillors.
My understanding is that all members give their time without financial reward to speak on behalf of the community.Any person who believes they could do better should be applying for a nomination form for the next change of committee which, we learn from the news-sheet, is in 9 months time.
It's easy to condemn those who raise their heads into the firing line, but perhaps it' easier still to sit camouflaged in a sniper position without fear of detection!

This outbreak of techiness is certainly sweeping through the island in epidemic proportions. Maybe someone should give wee Nicola a call?
Whilst I see your point Sal...and may or may not agree with it .....it is, don't you agree, somewhat ironic that you snipe.....
...without fear of detection that the annonimity of this forum affords you?

Well said, Sally! Although clearly not all the newsletter is about the community council's business. It's a kind of blend of that plus odd general local interest items like the one about the lunch club, another on natural history and so on, another a wee poem and so on. And, as Minxie pointed out, it has an editorial which is very individualised (refreshingly not a committee piece) and reflects the personal humour and view of the editor. I think the editor does a great job, Minxie doesn't agree but, hey, that's her right. It's free, many folk give their time voluntarily to produce its content and it's informative. Long may it flourish!

I feel Sal the gal has a point, and, when she wants to make a good point more publically than this cosy little forum, she is not afraid to do so in her own name......see the XXXXXX page of the XXXXX. Well done Sal; I quite agree.

It's good to have variety in your diet, Minkie.Mink are quite fond of them and also their eggs, but only in a culinary way of course.
I guess I'd get tired tired of whelks ala campfire after a while?
I'll put you down for some lutefisk at Xmas.
God Jul
